Privacy Policy

Who this applies to
This Privacy Policy explains how Pick Me (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the Pick Me iOS application and related services (the “Service”). Pick Me is intended exclusively for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect any information from individuals under 18, and we do not direct the Service to children.
Information we collect
We collect the minimum information needed to operate the Service:
- Account identifier. When you sign in with Apple or Google (via our authentication provider, Clerk), we receive a stable user identifier and, where you have agreed to share it, your email address. We do not receive your password.
- Display name. The name you choose during onboarding is the only personal detail passed to the AI personas inside the app. You can change or remove it at any time.
- Conversation content. Messages you exchange with personas are stored on our backend so you can resume conversations later. Each conversation is stored as a separate session and is never shared between characters or with any other user.
- Subscription state. When you subscribe, Apple informs the app of your entitlement status. We never see your payment instrument; Apple processes all payments.
- Diagnostics. We collect crash logs and basic operational telemetry needed to keep the Service running. These logs do not contain conversation content.
How we use information
- To provide and maintain the Service.
- To generate AI responses by securely forwarding your messages to our model provider on your behalf.
- To honor subscription entitlements granted by the Apple App Store.
- To respond to support requests you initiate with us.
- To detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, fraud, or violations of our terms.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your conversations to train any model. We do not serve advertising in the Service and we do not share data with advertising networks.
Third-party processors
We rely on a small set of reputable processors to operate the Service. Each processes data only on our instructions.
- Apple (App Store / StoreKit / Sign In with Apple). Authentication, in-app purchases, subscription management.
- Clerk. Identity and authentication infrastructure.
- Supabase. Encrypted-at-rest database storage for chat sessions and messages.
- Cloudflare. Edge infrastructure that proxies messages between the app and our model provider.
- xAI. The large-language-model provider that generates persona replies. Messages forwarded for generation are processed transiently and are not used by xAI to train models on our account.
Data retention
Your conversations are retained for as long as your account exists, so that you can resume them across sessions. You may delete an individual conversation at any time from the home screen of the app.
You may delete your account at any time from the in-app Profile menu (“Delete account”). Account deletion permanently erases your sessions and messages from our database within thirty (30) days. Backups expire on a rolling basis no later than ninety (90) days after deletion.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing (for example, under the GDPR or the CCPA / CPRA). You can exercise these rights at any time by deleting your account in-app or by emailing kanishk.chores@gmail.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
California residents: we do not sell or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA / CPRA.
Age requirement
Pick Me is intended exclusively for users who are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher). The Service contains adult-oriented content. By using the Service you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If we become aware that a user does not meet this requirement, we will terminate the account and delete associated data.
Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, including TLS in transit and encryption at rest with our database provider. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to respond promptly to any incident.
International transfers
Our processors may store and process data in jurisdictions outside your country of residence, including the United States. By using the Service you consent to such transfers, which are governed by appropriate safeguards required by applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated in-app where appropriate.
